…because i have done nothing else worth writing about in the past several weeks:
this is what happens when you say, “hey, can i schedule some cakes this month?” people say, “oh, yeah. let me help you out with that.”
i’m not complaining.
my friend Juliet is having a baby. she designed the most adorable invitations (well, i assume she designed them…since that’s what she does, and they were gorgeous, just like all of her work. if you need design work done…i know this girl…), and she has this thing for elephants. so…her cake. it was lemon. with strawberry preserves and buttercream. her sister-in-law, Lauren…she was all over the fondant. some day i’m going to make Lauren’s baby shower cake.

and this:
this is what happens when you have 10-year-old cousins who are on an 80’s kick. even though they don’t really know what the 80’s were, and assume that all things 80’s means all things neon and rubiks cubes and splatter paint and big hair and leggings with shorts. whatever. makes a cute cake. 🙂
and now…i sit on my couch. and will remain here for the rest of the evening. because…i can. thank GOD tomorrow is Sunday.
maybe i’ll have something to write about tomorrow.
