back to routine

don’t you love that feeling? that “i’ve-gone-through-a-crazy-end-of-the-year-after-Christmastime-and-i-finally-feel-like-things-are-coming-back-together-again” feeling?

it was touch and go there for a little while, i have to tell you.

we’re on our way. school started back up today, we’re plowing through our assignments with some good extension-type activities (amazing what happens when mom actually plans rather than just winging it when the day starts. jeez.) which include potatoes for every meal today (don’t ask) and some seriously yummy potato soup for lunch. the baby is back with us, and though she’s terrified of Bryson’s new RC truck, she’s happy the kids are home.

so am i.

i’m working at being on track with the household chores, bills, budgeting, fitness, nutrition, school, business, blogging, reading, communication…right now the business/blogging/reading/communication are lagging a bit…but i guess i feel like i have my sights set pretty high for the fourth day of the new year. i need to get a few other things in line right now. i’m working on it. had a mild family crisis erupt on Christmas Eve that we’re digging our way out of…and it requires so much of my time and attention…there are just things you don’t expect…and you don’t have a choice but to deal with. i wouldn’t trade them, necessarily, but they definitely consume time.

i’m going to link a few things that have been helpful for me in this process…because frankly, i wish someone else had linked them so i didn’t need to go hunting for them. 😉

first, CleanMamaPrintables is an etsy shop specializing in organizational printouts for you to personalize and keep your house/bills/business/family/life organized. check it out. i purchased her new cleaning kit for $12 (which can be used and reprinted as often as need be), and her work at home kit for $10. i can’t wait to get things going with the work at home kit…that should come in the next 24 hours.

Chalene Johnson’s Push is my most recent purchase…one i really want to devour…but i’m reading Help Wanted: Moms Raising Daughters first. priorities. (have i mentioned how much i love my new Kindle Fire?)

the new fitness and nutrition plan for 2012 starts here. 🙂 go figure. it’s another beachbody program. are you shocked?

there were other things i meant to share…hehe…but i’ve forgotten. i didn’t make resolutions this year (haven’t in years, really)…but i have a few goals. and i read this article on how to set goals you’ll keep…and why resolutions so often fail. i think it’s a worthwhile read–and it applies to so much more than health and fitness.

I enjoyed being the recipient of your communication goal achievement today, and, yes, of course we are shocked! Beach Body? Ha!
