Where I am on My Fitness Journey

The past year has truly been a journey for me. During that time, the health/fitness/nutrition portion of my life has often been all-consuming…nearly all I have thought about from the moment I woke up until the moment I fall asleep. Some of this was absolutely a defense mechanism: much of my life felt so out of […]

Update

No real conclusive news on my brother…he is home and still uncomfortable (and by uncomfortable, honestly, I don’t know the extent of the “pain” involved in that “discomfort”).  They didn’t make anything super clear about his heart or the pain…the ekg’s came back clear, and an x-ray showed reason for him to be checked by […]

I think we both had a bit of “if it seems too good to […]

It’s What I Do

I overthink.  I do.  It’s a curse, at times, I think.  The times when I can’t sleep because the thoughts race through my head at such a mind-boggling speed that I can’t keep up, and I become neurotic and twitchy and can’t focus on the tasks at hand.  Other times, it allows me to plan […]

Breakdown

I heard somewhere along the way that bad things come in threes. You get to the third bad thing, and you’re done. Sometimes I wondered with that statement whether they have to come in threes, or if sometimes, you get through the first one and you can be done.  Like, maybe…you get a reprieve every […]
