filter wreath (pin)

Yikes. Started this project at 11:30 last night. Thought, “seriously, how long could this take?”

Ha.

Rest assured, when you get all confident like that…it’s going to take a while.

All you need for this happy craft? A wreath of some description (you can get all fancy and use a styrofoam wreath, but i wasn’t at a craft store last night. and walmart and the dollar store didn’t have them. so. i made do (due?). also…you can use pipe cover/insulation…it’s a lot cheaper. thank you, Pinterest.), a hot glue gun with plenty of glue, and coffee filters.

Lots and lots of coffee filters.

Here’s the tutorial: Coffee Filter Wreath Tutorial.

It took about 45 minutes, start to finish, and I did it with two rows of coffee filters glued to the silly 10″ loop of evergreen garland I got at the dollar store (the garland was 10″ long…I looped it around twice, cut it off, and wrapped the ends around the “wreath”)(because when i bought it, i didn’t read the bold word “garland” on the packaging, and thought it was a wreath. oh, well. you do what you have to do.) and about 8 glue sticks in my cute little low-temp glue gun. 🙂

Pretend this picture is centered (i took it at 12:30 this morning people. cut me some slack.)

Think maybe I need a little lampshade for that lamp?? (Hmm…wonder what I can make *that* out of…)

Happy Friday!!
